Facilitated Discussion Groups for Women
Join one of three dynamic and solutions-focused discussion groups designed for women ready to explore and navigate life’s challenges. Whether you’re facing relationship struggles—in your intimate life, family, friendships, or at work—or dealing with life transitions, people-pleasing tendencies, or a fear of conflict, this group provides a supportive space for growth and empowerment.
The sessions will foster deep connection and mutual support among participants, creating a powerful environment where you’ll feel heard, understood, and inspired. Led by me, an experienced therapist and coach with over 20 years of experience, our discussions will be guided, insightful, and centered on offering practical solutions to help you break free from self-defeating patterns.
This is an opportunity to tap into the collective wisdom of like-minded women, gain clarity, and create meaningful change in your life!
There are three separate group options:
- Online (via Zoom): Every 2nd Tuesday, 6:30pm-8pm
- In person (at 207-2438 Marine Dr, West Vancouver): Every 2nd Thursday, 9:30am-11am
- In person (same address as above): Every 2nd Thursday, 6:30pm-8pm
(The maximum number of participants is 6 per group.)
FAQs:
The Fee?
The fee for participation is $100 per session (plus GST), with payment for 4 sessions required in advance. Receipts will be provided. (You’re welcome to continue after the initial 4 sessions with the same payment system.)
Why work in a group?
It’s been my experience over time that doing this sort of personal work in a group setting can often be just as effective as individual therapy. For example, as you work through the hurdles that you face while making significant changes, you’ll receive helpful feedback and suggestions from not only myself, but from the others in the group. And, as you get to know the women in the group, you’ll likely come to see the fears you’ve struggled with throughout your lifetime are shared by many others, and as a result, you’ll realize you aren’t alone with your challenges, after all.
Who can participate?
Women 25 or older.
When?
The sessions will take place bi-weekly. If you can’t attend the ones starting in October 2024, I invite you to contact me to find out when the next group will be starting.
Timeline?
There won’t be an official ‘end’ to the group. Rather, I would ask you to commit to 4 weeks at a time, and at the end of that period, you can either continue (again, for another 4 weeks), or you can step out of the group if you wish. The timing will be entirely up to you. We can discuss this further at our first session, but feel free to send me an email if you have any specific questions regarding group therapy.
